AKA – The Pentagon’s Brain. I was listening to Annie Jacobson discussing her latest’s book and I became enthralled because it’s a fascinating subject that we should ALL be paying attention to.

Here is a partial description of the book: This is the book on DARPA–a compelling narrative about this clandestine intersection of science and the American military and the often frightening results.

As I was listening to Annie discuss her book, she mentioned the “double edged sword” about DARPA’s creations. That my friends is the exact crux of the matter. They have been creating awesome technologies for many years that keep our military on the top of the food chain. Some of their creations have even benefited the human race. BUT everything is not always roses or as it seeems.

Their technologies extend out into the future by about 25 or 50 years. Think about that one? In 1985 they were dreaming up stuff, SOME of which we get to play with today like smart phone technology, GPS, cell, blue tooth, drones, military weapons, unbelievable cameras, sensors, nano computing power, etc…. Some we might get access to someday, and some we will likely never get to know about. Kind of makes you wonder what they are working on 30, 40, 50 years out from today, doesn’t it?
